Regional Manager
To increase customer focus in Wales and the South West our Regional Manager - Paul Wearing is based from our office in Cardiff. Paul brings with him his experience from other UK contractors to advise and manage projects in the region.
A New Vermeer HL1200 to the fleet
In July 2008 the fleet was increased with the commissioning of a new computer controlled automatic drop driven piling rig form Vermeer’s Impactor range.
Operations and Business Development Manager
David Wandless joined Able Piling in April 2008. David has worked within the UK foundations industry since his industrial placement in 1985. He brings knowledge and experience gained from undertaking both small and major works through out the UK.
Poplar-ATLAS Piling-September 2007
163 piles were formed for a mixed use development. Pile loads were up to 800kN. The 410/560 section ATLAS piles were augered to depths of 4 to 5m founding in the GRAVEL which overlies the London Clay. A working pile load test was undertaken. Movement at the pile head was 4.5mm at the 800kN working load, 8.9mm at 1.5 x working load.
